Huerfano County Pride is a celebration of community, visibility, and belonging. Join us for a day of joy, connection, and celebration as we march through downtown La Veta before gathering on the patio at Mountain Merman Brewing Company for live music, great beer, delicious food, and an afternoon spent together.
Whether you’re LGBTQ+, an ally, or simply someone who believes everyone deserves to feel welcome, we’d love to celebrate with you.

Huerfano County Pride Parade

Meet at the La Veta Public Library Lawn beginning at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM parade through historic downtown La Veta. Beads and flags will be available free of charge. We’ll stroll approximately three blocks to the park, where we’ll gather for community stories, speakers, and celebration before continuing the festivities at Mountain Merman.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunscreen, and come ready to celebrate!

After the parade, the celebration continues just a few blocks away.
After the parade, gather at Mountain Merman Brewing Company for an afternoon of live music featuring Rock Bottom String Band. Enjoy local craft beer, cocktails, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, Gub Gub’s Pizza, and other food available for purchase. With patio games, great music, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to celebrate together.

Wrap up Pride Weekend with an unforgettable afternoon of live music featuring the incredibly talented Patrice Pike Band, returning to the Merman stage!

A beloved fixture of the Austin music scene, Patrice Pike is an award-winning singer-songwriter whose music blends rock, soul, blues, jazz, and Americana into a powerful live experience. Best known as the former frontwoman of Sister 7, Patrice has shared the stage with artists including Dave Matthews Band, Sarah McLachlan, Blues Traveler, John Fogerty, and The Allman Brothers. Her passionate performances, thoughtful songwriting, and message of hope and compassion have made her one of Texas’ most respected live performers.
